Castle Estate Clyro – Social Housing and relocation of children’s play area.

Groundwork investigations will be taking place this week commencing 13th May 2019 at the Clyro Castle Estate on the ground between the bungalows and main A438. This is in preparation for small scale development of quality social housing properties by Powys Council.

The plans which will be drawn up by Powys following these exploratory works will include consultation with our local community and opportunity for feedback , comments and ideas with the aim to provide much needed suitable and affordable accommodation for local people.

A new children’s play area together with a recreation/dogwalkers amenity is planned on the sloping ground  adjacent to the Clyro Castle tump. This will replace the rather tired looking present children’s play area and Powys propose that the new area  will be created before the work begins on the housing project.

A provisional plan for the new play area is shown below
